Health & Safety The American Red Cross Health and Safety Courses help make our community a safer place to live. The chapter offers first aid and CPR classes especially tailored for youth. Please use the links on the left to learn about the classes that we offer. You will notice the wide variety of courses that are offered to meet your needs. Click on any link to get detailed information about the courses or the products that we offer. Each course link will offer you the option to check the calendar so please check the class information and then you can go to the calendar to find a date and time that fits your personal schedule. The Chapter is pleased to now offer Blended Learning. Blended Learning is an educational program that includes online (web-based) lessons combined with traditional instructor-led training. This program has transformed the standard CPR with AED and First Aid instructor-led class into a series of Blended Learning courses that includes self-paced, web accessed knowledge components combined with streamlined instructor-led, hands-on skill sessions. For information on enrolling in the Blended Learning courses and the technical requirements for taking the online class, please contact the Medford office, 541-779-3773, or the Klamath-Lake District office, 541-884-4125. If you are interested in a demo on Blended Learning type the following into your internet browser and try it out: http://www.redcross.org/websites/nhq.html If you do not see information for a class you are interested in, contact the chapter at 541.779.3773. EMail: health@soredcross.org The Southern Oregon Chapter reserves the right to cancel a course at anytime. If a class is cancelled, we will promptly notify you and every effort will be made to re-schedule your training. If this is not possible, you will receive a full refund. For our Community Classes: Transfers: If you are unable to attend the course for which you are registered but wish to transfer to another class, you must notify the office prior to the first class session to arrange for a transfer. Only one transfer is allowed and a $5 service charge will be assessed per enrollment. Cancellations: Students who cancel their enrollment in a class by notifying the Chapter more than 2 business days before the scheduled class date will receive a refund less a $10 handling fee. Students who withdraw from a class less than 2 business days before class is scheduled to begin will receive a 50% refund. No-shows/Late-shows: There will be no refunds issued for no-shows. If you fail to appear on-time for a class in which you are enrolled and you wish to re-schedule, your class fee will be forfeited and you must pay again. |
